Luca received his DVM from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Pisa (Italy) in 1994. He developed his career as a microbiologist in Denmark, where he completed his PhD in Veterinary Microbiology at the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University in 2000 and became Professor at the University of Copenhagen in 2012. Since 2005, he is de facto Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Public Health (ECVPH). He joined the Royal Veterinary College in December 2018 and continues to work half-time for the University of Copenhagen as Professor on One Health Antimicrobial Resistance. Among his honorary offices, Luca is the chair of the Therapeutic Guidelines Group in the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA, https://www.wsava.org/Committees/Therapeutics-Guideline-Group) and the Science Officer of the Veterinary Microbiology Group in the European Society for Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID, www.escmid.org/research_projects/study_groups/veterinary_microbiology/).

Dr. Marcellin-Little is a French-born veterinarian, board certified in surgery and in sports medicine / rehabilitation. He has been professor of veterinary orthopedic surgery since 2010. He joined the school of veterinary medicine at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis) in 2017.
His clinical interests include the management of limb deformities and total joint replacement. He started 3D printing in 2002 years ago and has mentored approximately 20 engineering graduate students involved in modeling and 3D printing research. He is expanding medical 3D printing at UC Davis.

Alessandro graduated from the Turin University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He completed his surgical training in the College of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Parma in 1993 gaining the diploma of Specialist in Veterinary Surgery.
In 1994 he spent an externship at the Canine Sport Medicine Center of the University of Florida and at the Hollywood Animal Hospital in Hollywood, Miami.

Mostly dedicated to Sport Medicine, traumatology, orthopedics and spinal.

Antonio Pozzi, DVM, MS, Dipl ACVS
Antonio Pozzi is the Director of the Clinic of Small Animal Surgery and head of the Small Animal Department at the University of Zurich. After graduating at the University of Milan in 1997, he completed an internship and residency at the Ohio State University and became a Diplomate ACVS in 2006. He became a Diplomate of the American College of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2013. From 2007 to 2014 he worked at the University of Florida where he was appointed Associate Professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine and adjunct Professor at College of Medicine and College of Engineering. In 2014 he was appointed Professor and Director of the Clinic of Small Animal Surgery at the University of Zurich, where he leads a team focusing on neurosurgery, orthopedics, sport medicine and oncologic surgery. In 2018 he was appointed Head of the department of Small Animal Science. Dr. Pozzi collaborates with engineers and medical doctors with the goal of finding better treatment solutions for dogs and for human patients. His clinical and research focus areas include minimally invasive orthopedics, joint replacement and canine sports medicine. His most recent research includes stifle stability and shoulder musculotendinous injuries.

Born and raised in Germany, Ulli Reif graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine of Turin, Italy in 1995. From 1996 to 1998 he obtained a Clinical Fellowship in small animal surgery at the Michigan State University, a Surgical Internship at the University of Zürich, and an AO International Fellowship at the Texas A&M University. He started his Residency in Small Animal Surgery at the Michigan State University in 1999 and stayed on faculty as an Assistant Professor in Orthopedic Surgery. In 2003 he moved back to Germany where he is now running his own referral clinic in small animal surgery. In addition to national organizations he is actively involved in the AO as a faculty member and course director. He has served on the ECVS Examination Committee, the AOVET Educational Committee and was part of the Board of Regents of the ECVS.

Giliola Spattini graduated with honor in Veterinary Medicine in 1998 from Parma University. She worked for two years in a referring private practice in Italy. In 2001 She started an alternate residency program in Diagnostic Imaging at the Royal Veterinary College of London, under the supervision of Christopher R. Lamb. She integrated her residency with externship at Tufts, Penn, Utrecht, Liege, Uppsala and Bern Universities.
In 2008 She obtained the Diploma of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (ECVDI).
In 2009 She discussed her PhD thesis at the Department of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging at Parma University.
Since 2008 has been working with sport medicine experts on ultrasonography of the limbs in sportive dogs. She has been the president of the Italian Society of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (SVIDI). She has published on national and international Journal. She has contributed to three books on Diagnostic imaging, one of them has been translated in English.
She is a frequent contributor to continuous post graduate education (CPD) in Italy and around the world.
She works in Clinica Veterinaria Castellarano, a private practice in Italy as a specialist in Diagnostic Imaging and as a specialist consultant for Antech Imaging Service and Mylav.

Currently A/Professor and head of the Camden Equine Centre at the School of Veterinary Science in Sydney Denis Verwilghen started as an equine vet in private practice after graduation from Ghent University in 2003. With the desire to improve his skills, Denis went back to academia to become resident in equine surgery at the University of Liege. In 2010 he successfully passed the exam of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons. Denis then defended his PhD about clinical impact of developmental orthopaedic diseases in horses. After spending some time as Head of the Equine Surgery Department in Uppsala University, Denis took up a position of A/Professor at Copenhagen University. In 2017 Denis ran his own private consultancy business EquineSpecialists offering peripatetic surgical services and biosecurity consulting. Denis has a special interest in head disorders, dentistry and biosecurity in veterinary medicine with emphasis on surgical principles and hand hygiene. Denis has a broad range of publications with a particular focus in asepsis research, biomarkers and dentistry. Denis is author of over 50 international peer reviewed scientific publications, of 5 book chapters in surgery related books and has presented over 100 presentations at national and international congresses.

Graduated on September 27th, 2005 at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Parma, with a graduation thesis on cementless total hip replacement in the dog. Since the same year he started working at Clinica Veterinaria Vezzoni in Cremona mainly dealing with surgery, orthopedics and diagnostic imaging. In 2008 he spent a period of updating at Tufts University in Massachusetts following the work of Dr. Michael Kowaleski. In 2019 he became a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons after completing a residency program under the supervision of Dr. Aldo Vezzoni for orthopedic surgery and Dr. Giorgio Romanelli for soft tissue surgery.
