It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the next cardiology congress organized by SCIVAC. The objectives of this meeting are to provide an update both at the basic and at the specialist level on recent diagnostic and therapeutic developments in congenital and acquired heart disease in dogs and cats. We believe that the presence of speakers with recognized national and international experience will ensure to provide an updated picture of the topics covered.
 
We hope to see you all in Milan on March 14th and 15th!"

Will a translation service be provided?
Translation from Italian to English will be provided in the advanced room only.
 
What do I need to access the conference venue?
Each time you access the conference venue, you will be asked to present your badge and your identity card.
The badge is nominal and personal and cannot be transferred to other people.
 
Where can I find the conference written proceedings?
The written proceedings will only be available in digital version, at the link that will be sent before the conference to all registered participants by email in the days preceding the conference, in a message that will contain all the useful information for participation in the event.
 
How can I get my badge to access the conference?
Badges will be sent by email to each participant in the days before the conference.
Everyone is reminded to print it and bring it with them, along with their identity document, from the first time they enter the conference room.
ONLY registered participants wearing the appropriate conference badge are admitted to the conference rooms and the exhibition area.
Stewards are authorized to deny entry to anyone who does not display the badge. The badge is strictly personal and giving it to other colleagues is illegal.
 
How are breaks organized?
Coffee breaks and lunch breaks are offered by SCIVAC in the exhibition area and are included in the registration fee.
 
I am a veterinary surgeon and would like to access the exhibition area exclusively. Is this possible?
Yes, it is possible to access the exhibition area exclusively: it is necessary to register through the online system available on the conference web page. Access to the exhibition area does not allow entry to the conference room. Please note that companions are NOT allowed to access the exhibition area and the conference rooms.
 
Can I bring my pet with me?
The conference center does not allow access to animals. Therefore, the staff on duty at the entrance to the conference space may deny access in the event of the presence of animals.

SUBMITTING AN ABSTRACT
Abstracts must be submitted using the online abstract form going to https://abstract.evsrl.it/
Paper, faxed or emailed submissions will be rejected. For the submission of an abstract is required the creation of a user account by going to the “EGO” Registration Request Page at https://ego.evsrl.it/public/Registration.aspx
Registration process takes 2 working day.
Register now to the “EGO System” to avoid any delay in getting the login credentials.
 
 
 
ABSTRACT CONTENT AND STRUCTURE – REQUIRED SUBHEADINGS
The ABSTRACT SUBMISSION CENTRE will guide the author filling in the following fields:
WORK / ABSTRACT TYPE - TITLE - INTEREST AREA / SUBJECT-TOPIC - ADDRESS FOR CORRESPONDENCE - AUTHORS - TEXT AND ESSENTIAL BIBLIOGRAPHY.
The abstract should contain information under the following subheadings.
In the case of original research: aim of work, materials, methods used, results and conclusions.
For clinical cases: Introduction, Case description and Discussion.
Abstracts that do not meet this format will automatically refused. The statement “Results will be discussed” is not acceptable.
  • The abstract text is limited to 5.400 characters, including spaces. This limit includes the body of the abstract only. If the abstract exceeds this limit, the author will be prompted to shorten it before being allowed to continue.
  • Graphs, images, tables and photos will not be published.
  • The bibliography is mandatory and must be included in the 5.400 characters. The abstracts without bibliography will be automatically refused.
  • Abstracts are accepted on a the topic of the congress only.
 
 
Abstracts cannot contain any information that could identify the author/s and the work place. Should the abstract include any information that could identify the author, it will be automatically refused.
 
 
ETHICAL STANDARDS
The abstracts describing a non-experimental original research must meet ethical standards, be approved by an ethics committee of the institution of reference. Clinical cases and retrospective works don’t usually need to be approved by an ethical committee. However, the reviewer reserves the right to ask for the ethical approval also for this kind of works and for the works that don’t include live animals. When the work is on client – owned animals, the author must provide clients’ informed consent.
The experimental researches must be approved by the competent authorities, according to the law.
The EGO system for the submission of the abstracts will ask to declare the existence of the above-mentioned documents, which the reviewer reserves the rights to ask for later.
Papers that do not meet with these ethical principles will be automatically rejected.
 
CONGRESS REGISTRATION
The presenting author/speaker of an abstract accepted either as oral or poster communication is granted a free registration to the Congress.
 
 IMPORTANT DATES
Deadline for submission: FEBRUARY 7th, 2025WITHOUT REVIEW.
Abstracts submitted after FEBRUARY 7th, 2025 will be automatically refused.
Abstracts will be anonymously reviewed by Diplomats of the European Veterinary College, when possible.
The review process will end and the authors will be definitely informed by e-mail about acceptance or rejection by FEBRUARY 21st, 2025.
 
To avoid that the abstract cannot be submitted due to technical difficulties, computer problems or other reasons, authors are advised to submit the abstract on time. There is no possibility for late-breaking abstract submission.
Abstract will be published as submitted, except for a simple English spelling check. Until the deadline of FEBRUARY 7th, 2025 authors will be able to enter their abstract to make changes, even when already submitted. After submission deadline, it will not be possible to edit the abstract anymore.
 
LANGUAGE AND TIMING
Abstracts can be submitted in Italian and in English only. During the oral presentation, speeches can be done in Italian or English.
The time slot for a single presentation is FIFTEEN (15) minutes including 5 minutes discussion time.
In case the number of abstracts accepted exceeds the number of spaces for oral presentations, the reviewer in agreement with the Scientific committee will propose to the authors a poster presentation instead of an oral presentation, according to the assessment of the abstracts.
 
POSTER PRESENTATION
The poster must be 130 cm high and 80 cm wide. The title, the author or authors and their affiliation must be written at the top and printed in characters at least 5 cm high.
The text of the Poster must respect the text sent as a short communication and be readable from a distance of at least 1 meter.
The posters must be glued to the appropriate supports using a suitable means provided by the organization. Where permitted, the results must be presented with graphs and images. The poster area will be set up in a specially designated space, starting from the first day of conference work.
The posters must remain on display for the entire duration of the conference. The authors will be in front of their poster, available for questions and clarifications during the coffee breaks of the conference days.

Within February 28th, 2025: refund of 75% of the registration fee paid.
After February 28th, 2025: no refund is due. The email date will be considered as the official postmark.

Should the Congress be cancelled due to force majeure or for reasons completely beyond the organizers' control the registration fees will be refunded net of unavoidable expenses. All refunds will be made at the end of the Congress.
